A tad disappointed
A shame really, on the face of it it ticked a lot of boxes, but my three year old grandson soon stopped using it because the style is wrong for a pre trainer bike. Really needs to be rear wheel driven with chain as there is no point having stabalisers on a bike with front wheel pedals. It will not work properly without stabalisers.
My error, but not really a bike for training.
Three stars for being well made only, but functionally wrong.

I've got a new bike!
I love the style of this bike. It looks beautiful, and the whole thing is clearly designed for rider comfort. A degree in mechanical engineering would have been nice when assembling all the loose bits, but most of my struggles were due entirely to my own incompetence. Does one attach the front mudguard to the rear of the forks or to the front? I guessed wrongly. One attaches the mudguard to the rear of the forks. This was immensely fiddly to my ham-fists, but finally I detached the mudguard and attached it correctly to the rear, only to find that one of its supporting legs had slyly woven itself in among the spokes while I wasn't looking. So again I had to disassemble the mudguard and start again. Tip: Make sure the supporting legs are clear of the spokes before you begin. Attaching the basket (a thing of copious volume) and its supports would have tested the skills of Isembard Kingdom Brunel. The difficulty was overcome, however, by my beloved spouse lending a pair of hands which...

Cool Little Bike
We have had many balance bikes. This is the best quality and also the most adjustable. Hopefully many hours of happy zooming over the holidays.

Frame arrived filthy, not helped by the matte paint. It was also quite scratched in places. Had it not been a gift for my own son, who I doubt will notice the dirt or the scratches I would have returned for a replacement.

Delivery was via courier. Spent two days waiting for next day delivery to arrive. It did not, despite being noted as delivered on the tracking system.

Bike itself is brilliant.

I bought this for my daughter's second birthday - it's a nice bike but it's a little bit too big for her to sit on yet which was a bit disappointing. The bike also comes in pieces that you have to put together which isn't that hard to do but there aren't any instructions because the manufacturer obviously expects the bikes to mainly be sold through bike shops. We still have a slight problem with the back brake sticking. It might have been easier for us to purchase this bike in a shop because we would have realised it was a little bit too big for our daughter and we wouldn't have had to make it up, having said that though the price was great, very competitive and it does appear to be a good quality bike - great tyres and good brakes which will be useful when she's a little older on confident on her bike.

poorly built at factory
As a beginner cyclist I thought this seemed like a good place to start.The bike arrived well packaged and promptly.However the front forks were on the wrong way,the bolts supplied to fit the mud gaurd had no thread and wouldn't tighten and finally the back tyre blew the moment I sat on the bike-and no I am not the size of an elephant.
That said my local bike shop sorted out the lot for a tenner and now I am delighted with the bike.A smooth and comfortable ride

A good bike for the money
We bought this bike for my daughter as it was the nearest to the look of a Dawes bike that we could find, but at a quarter the price. It arrived really promptly and was well-packaged. It was fairly straight-forward to put together, but this was no thanks to the instructions, which were not clear at all. Luckily, we had read a review that explained how we needed to turn the forks around before fixing the front wheel, as we would not have done this otherwise. The bike looks really good and, so far, is performing well - a good bike for the money it cost.

Excellent for the price and does what it says on the tin!
Bought this for my husband to use mainly for going to and from work - short city commute. It was remarkably easy to assemble; altogether, I spent about an hour unpacking it and putting it together. After that, it could be ridden 'out of the box' without needing to adjust even the tension on the gears or brakes - fantastic!

It has now been used daily mon-fri without any issues, it runs very well. We took it for it's first longer cycle, about 20 km, partially off road, without any difficulties - performed nicely.

There are only a few small drawbacks / problems:

1) the saddle pole is a bit loose, and needed a layer of heavy-duty tape around it before it could be tightened enough for the saddle to stay at the right height. This is not great but it was easily solved and shouldn't put anyone off.

2) It is heavy! the boxed weight is 24 kg, so that the bike weighs around 20 kg. It is therefore not a bike for super-speedy whizzing around. But...

Nice bike - fast delivery. Bit complicated for my wife to put together. lots of bits to put together - but then again it is what it is. seat height could have gone down a bit more except for back rack, however it was a 15'' height - just have to stretch the wife to fit it better. Nice look and feel to the overall bike - she loves it!

Great little town rider
I looked at a picture of this bike and thought it looked really great. So I just had to get it. Well, it is just as good as I thought it would be!

It looks really great! Feels good riding it even on bumpy roads. I got it as 16" to go with my height that is 5.3 and its exactly perfect for me. This is my first Traditional type bike and I think I wont go back to the mountain bike again!

The only thing that is not that great is the seat, its a little hard to sit on. Nothing a gel seat cover cant fix!

I didnt buy mine from Amazon thought, I did get it from a bike shop. I did this cause I didnt want to have to fix it up at home on my own, so I cant comment on that. I did get a load of free stuff with it though from the bike shop, lock, pump etc

Overall, it is an excellent bike for a great price! So happy!! :D
