When pedalling your bike, friction free Reelight bike lights create their own energy by magnetic induction from the wheel mounted neodymium magnets, powering high efficiency flashing LEDs. These lights can't fail on you like battery powered systems, therefore they also make a great set of backup safety lights to compliment your setup. The lights are based on the electrodynamics induction principle, and work when you screw two magnets on the spokes and fix the light to the wheel's hub. at last no cycling without lights when the batteries go!
These are great, I've been using them since January and I no longer have to remember to take my lights with me, check the batteries are ok, or remember to remove them so they dont get half inched. They work, they're fixed to the bike, they keep flashing for a couple of minutes when you stop pedalling. For road use they are legal lights. The only downside is if you are on roads or paths without street lights, as they really don't illuminate your way, so I have an extra battery front light as well.

Nice replacement, install and forget
I bought a cheap noname model with the same concept as the Reelights, but they only worked for about 1 year before water found its way into the electronics and made them verry unreliable.
So i look arround on the other bikes on the road and find Reelights everywhere. I ask arround and sure enough, no complaints about anything. One friend had his Reelight mounted about 3 years ago and it still works without problems.
I've now bought a pair (SL 120) and after installation, they just work - no fuss.
I recommend SL 120 or SL 150 if blinking lights is not allowed in your country.
