My wife bought me this bike to ride the 20min journey to and from work. Putting the bike together wasn't to bad few tweeks here and there but fine. After a couple of days the handle bars slipped and turned this almost caused an accident on a busy road, this was just one issue. On the first ride I realised the gears at the back where not going to 1st and 6th, so I took it to a shop and the guy said the mec at the back was bent and must have happened in transit. I paid him to fix it and now no problems except the front set of gears will not go to the highest. No idea why. After a few weeks I got use to the flaws and decided it was ok for the money. But then on my way home the rewarding on the right peddle had rounded off causing the peddle to just fall off. I'm no bike expert but I know I didn't force any parts on so it couldn't have been my doing. So in conclusion DO NOT BUY! save a bit more money and go to a bike shop. Look and the bike. Tips on assembly
PACKAGING AND UNBOXING

Delivered in just two days with regular shipping, the bike was packed in a single cardboard box measuring 120 x 66 x 18cm marked 'Made in Sri Lanka'.

There was no invoice included. Unboxed, it appears as shown in my product photograph above. All the parts were in good condition. The front wheel, the handlebars, seat and pedals were all detached, as were the front and rear reflectors. The kit comes with two Allen keys and a wrench tool (pictured above) but you will need to provide your own Phillips screwdriver. Please also note that the tyres are deflated when delivered and a bicycle pump is not included.

Great value for money but not well set up.
This bike is fantastic value for money, it looks amazing and is very comfortable to ride. The gears are a little stiff but very usable. The seat is very comfortable and the suspension I found was just right. The handle bars are a little small and after long periods of riding your hands can stiffen up in that position, though that's not a major issue.

Though the most important problem with it is the set up.

PLEASE GET IT SET UP BEFORE USING IT!

It arrives reasonably well put together. all you need to do is attach the handle bars, seat, pedals, front wheel and mud guards. However, the insertion of the front wheel means it wont have a correctly set up brake so it will rub and squeak horribly. After a week of use some of the cables slipped slightly including the gears and brakes.

I LOST THE REAR BRAKE DOWN A HILL!! Fortunately the front one was okay. Ensure you get the bike professionally set up due to the sensitive brakes.

i bought this bike for exersize andfor its looks, which are both good.i read the other reviewes wich i found very helpfull. when it arrived i put it together in about 20 mins, after riding most days for the last month i have found no probs with gears/frame or pedles,as with most things you buy like this you must check nuts +bolts are tight,i am a 16 stone lump and it carries me very well, overall very good bike for the price.

One of my better decisions
I was looking for a folding bike to use for about 20-30 days a year, primarily in France. My bike rack doesn't fit my new car well and creates visibility problems, so I started to look for a foldable. Unfortunately, they all seemed to be expensive and ugly and some of the reviews were none too encouraging. Then I saw this one. I had some reservations that the low price would mean low quality, but not a bit of it. The bike took about 45 minutes to build from the box, with no adjustment needed on either the gears or the brakes. The instructions seem to be for another bike entirely - but what the hell? If you can't do basic bike maintenance, you shouldn't be riding... The hinge works on a quick release lever and the mechanism slides up like a gate bolt, when it's properly in place the bike is absolutely rigid. Personally I don't like dual suspension or twist grip gears, but the rear shocker is easily adjusted to make it really firm and the twist grips are as positive as any I've tried. I...

Delivery was late but made contact by email to the company they were very fast with replying and sorting out and also refunded my delivery charge.
Th bike is good value for money, a few things that i have found was a down size is that the tyres stink very nasty of rubber used bike and well weatherd and they still smell strong may be having them changed, also bike very heavy, i have replaced the seat to a wider one and more comfort one but thats my choice nothing wrong with the sadle it comes with i just perfer a wider one not a pin to sit on. apart from that great bike.

Good bike, but get a seat cover!
I love this bike I've had it since January so its been through all sorts of weather. comes with very good tyres.
It's not a road bike so it isn't built for speed but it's fun to ride.
my one tip; get a gel seat cover! I ride over cobbles and potholes every day and the seat provided is like being slapped in the bottom with a brick. =)

Not That Great
I bought this bike as a New Year present for myself as my old bike got trashed in an accident before Christmas and I need a bike for going to college and to work. At first I was delighted when I assembled it and it worked a treat for the first ride or two. Then problems began developing:

1) The rear wheel spindle was pretty bent, I noticed on closer inspection.
2) The rear wheel didn't free wheel properly, and so whenever I changed gears or back-pedalled, the chain fell off.
3) After pumping my tyre up to the suggested PSI of 60 (limits being between 45-80 or something similar, I can't quite remember), the front tyre burst on its third ride leaving me to heave the whole thing all the way home with no credit to call anyone to come pick me up.

Whilst I would have loved to love this product, I would caution any would-be purchasers with the old saying "buyer beware". Whilst designed by Raleigh, the bike is made by Activ and whilst it looked all shiny and...

Great Bike
This is a realy good bike for it's price. Stylish, comfortable and realable. Weighs less than the Raliegh Appolo alloy equivalent. Only crititism is the saddle, oh so painfull and very quickly replaced with a more comfortable one from Amazon. I got this bike for exercise reasons but simply I just enjoy riding it generally.

Ordered this bike for my daughter at christmas, only neglected to consider the frame size and went by wheel size only. I'm a complete nerd lol However, as it is giant size for her and fits mum perfectly.. I now have a very girly flash new bike n set to get fit for the summer. It looks amazing, but be sure you have long legs as the frame does come up quite high.I'm 5ft6" n only just touch the floor!
