Excellent Quality, Sturdy, Secure?
Just received this product from another supplier. Its very easy to set up initially. The build quality is very good. When it is fitted to the car it feels very strong with no moving parts at all. My bike is tightly fitted, The rack needs to be slightly off centered on the car so the bikes rear wheel is not protruding. Lights on the car are pretty much visible. The other thing is that this rack is very easily removed from the car so don't expect thieves to have a hard time if they fancy a free bike carrier. It's the strongest, most secure bike carrier I have seen......even on road humps! It needs a longer strap (which I ordered) and something to make it thief proof. A locking device at the hinges would easily make this thief proof.

Almost brilliant
I was after a simple system to carry the bikes. No straps, no hassle. The Thule system is brilliant. After the initial assembly and fitting, all that was needed was a 5 minute lesson for the family to clip on and off the system and they are now set to explore the myriad of cycleways in our area. The only annoyance is that the hooks that hold onto the car are not rubber coated as stated, or that bag of bits is missing. On a product of this quality (and price) this is silly.

The Thule arrived timely and the packaging seems as modest/green in size as is possible. The manual follows the standard, picture x list of bits, followed by pictures and list of assembly instructions. On the whole it is simple to follow and the parts are well made and fit well.

The only disappointment is in the actual fitting to the car. There are specific printed details for a range of cars. This could be enhanced by an online longer list. The Thule website is conspicuous not having a forum...

THULE 9103 CLIPON 3-BIKE RACK FOR HATCHBACK CAR
Delivery of the Thule 9103 clipon 3-Bike rack was very prompt.It was quite easy to attatch to car and felt very strong and safe, much better than other racks we have had and seen. It is not suitable for a car with a spoiler or a thick plastic trim along the top edge of boot door. Apart from that very pleased with quality.

Brilliant rack
I purchased this rack to replace an old one I bought from Halfords years ago. This one is so much more secure and far quicker to attach. It also easily folds flat for storage. I use it for 2 adults and 1 child bike which is fine, not tried 3 adult bikes yet but it must be s bit of a squeeze!

Thule Hangon 3-bike
The 3-bike holder worked well but when fully loaded with three bikes it is heavy when trying to lift it back up from the tilted position. I use additional support straps from the top hings of the hatch door to hold the bikes more securely and think it would be a good idea if these had been supplied with the rack. The horizontal part of the rack can only be folded flat by loosening the clip screws with the supplied allum key , it would have been better if there was a lock /unlock mechanism instead of needed the alum key with you to do this.

Good,solid,works a treet.
The carrier was assembled in less than 10 mins, fitted on the car in about 10 mins. The second time it took less than 5 mins to fix on the car.
I took a 70 mile trip with two old MTB (heavy). Checked the straps at 10 miles, and again at the end, still tite.
The bikes never mooved, solid as a rock. The bikes stuck out only a few inches each side.
I highley recomend this carrier, well worth the money.

Only difficult thing about this carrier is how to pronounce it's name!
I have a Mini Cooper so popping the bikes in the boot wasn't an option so after a bit of Googling I bought the Thule having seen a great photo (thanks to a Mini forum post) of it installed on a similar car. As I was using it for the first time to collect two brand spanking new bikes I was a little apprehensive of how things would go. I knew I'd be loading them onto the rack and securing them myself. I needn't have been, it was a breeze. The bikes stayed put really well and the further I drove the more confident I got.

If you are not very good at understanding self assembly instructions there is a YouTube video (in Spanish I'm afraid) which shows you how.

A good tip I can pass on is that the 6 rubber securing 'brackets' can be easily twisted inwards making it easier to lift and bikes onto the rack and then swung back up to secure them.
