An Excellent Product
I've worn these a few times including a half marathon and for a recent 10K race. My legs (calves and upper legs) definitely didn't feel as sore the next day. The key is to keep them on for a few hours after a hard workout/race to get some post recovery benefit too.

Even though I don't suffer from overly tight calves or shin splints, I still recommend these for any runner of any ability. I have worn them in 25C temperatures and haven't overheated.

I would have liked to have seen some reflective detail on them, but that isn't a deal breaker.

Update 5/11/12. Although only about 6 months old the silver tape has completely disappeared due to normal wear and tear. Even after only a few washes the tape started to break up. They still work fine though, but for the money you would expect better workmanship. Hence the 4 stars

I have both the skins a400 and 2xu calf guards/compression socks. The 2xu ones are generally cheaper, easier to put on/take off but do not quite offer the same amount of compression for the same size. I also wonder whether they will last as long as the a400s as the material seems thinner and less sturdy but I suppose only time will tell. One recommendation I would give if you are thinking of buying these is to choose the smaller if you are in any doubt over which size to get
