It works
It worked fine puting the master link together on a Renthal 520 o ring chain but I didn't break the chain with it, I used an grinder as it only takes 2 seconds Nice that it comes with a box. Overal good value & fast delivery.

Chain breaker and riveter review
I was a little dubious when I bought this. Last year I had previously bought a cheaper version of the sealey set that comes with various pins etc. However, I broke that riveting one chain! Terrible I think!

However, this badboy was great.
It worked perfectly and has 1 pin only so I covers less chain types I guess. One side is the pin for breaking the rivet and the other side is dome shaped with a sticky out bit in the centre. This fits directly into the centre of the link and the dome bit fits snugly around the outside of the rivet. By re-reading the instructions It tells me that you cannot over rivet using this. I used this to break the chain too and worked well. As for riveting I was a little dubious that it had done the proper job with it being so cheap. However, I've just come back from a speedy 50 mile ride and its holding up fine.

Gets my recommendation everytime this really pleased with it!

this was a great buy, for a good quality chain, easy link installation. so simple even though there are 116 links compared to the original 114 rides and shifts like a charm.

Strong as an Ox
Bought this chain to replace a shimano whilst upgrading chainset. Easy to fit and remove if required. This chain has really been tested on a recent rideIt event. I've had other brand chains break under less stress so will definitely buy again when required.

Oh my gosh I laughed out loud when I opened the box I had no idea just how big this chain was going to be. Very secure feeling, but be careful of your back!
This bike lock will keep your bike safe! They even put a guantee on it; so if someone comes along and breaks it open, Kryptonite will replace your bike for you!

My only problem with the lock is the weight; I knew it would be heavy (I even went into Evans to have a look at it before buying for the much better price here on Amazon) but it is almost too heavy; I have to leave it at work as it is uncomfortable to carry in my bag and I don't want to scratch my bike by looping it round part of there. However, this is my opinion, and as I have experienced back troubles in the past few years it may not be something you experience.

My only other problem, is that as I left it at work, in both sun and rain, the internal mechanism has got a bit rusty, and sometimes it takes a good whack to open the lock; which I am scared one day will get me in trouble as someone might think I am stealing the bike!! This is despite the weather cover, so therefore I am going to give it 4...

Used to keep my bike secure at home or on the move, never had a problem with it operationally, and so far touch wood has proved durable and hopefully deterred a casual thief or two. I usually loop this through my back wheel and round a secure locking post or loop making sure the visible chain parts and lock are off the floor, and also have a quality disc lock on the front. I like that the lock has a rotating sliding cover which exposes the lock for when you need it, and to cover it up again to avoid the elements getting into it.

At the end of the day a lock like this or indeed any lock of this type will never put off a professional who is determined to steal your pride and joy, but hopefully this should be enough to deter a casual low life to move onto a less secure machine as they will always seek the easiest option.

just what i was expecting
I use this as a bike lock as my last bike was stolen when it had one of those flimsy cable locks, this has a good thick chain, just the look of it would put most thieves off unless they have better tools. Wraps nicely around the bar under my seat and not too heavy to be noticed when riding, good enough length to put through back wheel frame and to whatever object your attaching it to.
The only annoyance with this lock is the locking mechanism can be tricky to get the key all the way in, just need to get it aligned then its easy after a bit of practice. I think its a good price and very glad I bought this product.

Too Heavy
This is a serious chain, but it is so heavy that the only good use for it is to tether the bike to a particular spot. Carrying it around to use daily would be a real pain.
